Hi Stampers! A few years ago I started off with a blogspot that was about my life and everything I had gone through. Since I stopped writing in a journal, I decided to change everything around a bit. I didn't have a lot of entries, so I started to blog about my craft projects. This blog is where I will upload all of my art, projects and photographs.

A few years ago, I started scrapbooking with my sister. What started off from a $1.00 stamp has grown into an obsession! I absolutely love history, so anything to commemorate it is fine by me! Thanks for stopping by!

I decided to make Christmas tags this year and make them so that they can hopefully be used over and over again. To help make these, I bought a Scotch Thermal Laminator from Walmart. Scentsy

While I'm on the subject of stuff I like, I must say that I found a new love for my house. I've heard of it before down in North Carolina, and I'm so glad it came to West Virginia. This past Friday, I went to a party at Cheyanne's house to smell Scentsy products. Like I said, I've heard of them before, but I had never smelled their stuff before. Check out their website at Scentsy.net

I ended up buying a Doodlebud warmer and three scents: Sugar Cookie, French Kiss, and Mochadoodle. As soon as I got home, I lit the warmer up and put in Sugar Cookie. OMG!!!! Within five minutes I could already smell the tart throughout the house. I ended up texting Cheyanne the next day to have her order me another scent: Gingersnap!

My new addiction! No more wasting money on tea lights and tarts! I have a Doodlebud! Thanks, Cheyanne and Sarah!

Close to my Heart

I love all products by Close to my Heart, but I think my favorite item is the MyCreations Memory Keeper (Z1116). As you can see, I've made a few of them and posted all of them on my blog. I love how easy it is to assemble and how easy the dimensions are for any sizes of paper. The box is sturdy enough to hold all of my treasures and then some. I've made four of them for baby showers and they were a hit! I'm hoping this item never retires or I'll have to buy 20 of them!!!

Motivation?

I don't know what's harder....getting the motivation to finish my cards for OWH or having a 10 lb. cat sitting on my lap while I finish my cards for OWH!

Not sure why this won't let me straighten the pic. Sorry.

I luv you, Martha!

I really can’t recall when, but a few months ago we’ll say, I purchased a Martha Stewart Scoring Board from Michael’s. I had been debating on getting one, but after making so many cards for Operation Write Home….yeah, I needed one!

The board was $29.99 from Michael’s, but of course, I had a 50% off coupon. It takes some getting used to because, at first, it seems as though the measurements don’t line up very well. But once you get used to it, they do line up pretty well.

I have also found that (personally) instead of using the included score tool, I use the Fiskars Dual-Tip Embossing Stylus that has a small and large ball at the ends. If you use the smaller sized ball, it fits perfectly into the grooves of the board. Then I use the included score tool to crease the edges.

But what else can I say, but that I love this board! Way to go Martha!

Family Reunion

I made this quick little card for a friend's family reunion. She was putting together baskets and needed a quick something to shove into it. I used the Recollections Butterfly Wings Cardstock Paper in Purple and standard white copier paper with the letters in Lucinda Calligraphy. The grass is in CTMH Clover Meadow using the Happy Forever Acrylix Stamp Set. The children are from the CTMH Family Ties-Children Acrylix Stamp Set and I colored them using Marvy Markers in red, pink, light blue, brown, yellow, and aqua grey. The purple ribbon was from Joann's. I used American Craft eyelets and set it with my Scraparatus.

That's Pimp!

Well, for anyone who knows me, I love to modifiy my car. I have a 2007 G6 that I've done some inexpensive mods to since I bought it. I've debadged the trunk, tinted the windows, painted the upper grilles and battery cover, installed CRABS (air intake) and recently I installed white gauge faces.
