Hi Stampers! A few years ago I started off with a blogspot that was about my life and everything I had gone through. Since I stopped writing in a journal, I decided to change everything around a bit. I didn't have a lot of entries, so I started to blog about my craft projects. This blog is where I will upload all of my art, projects and photographs.

A few years ago, I started scrapbooking with my sister. What started off from a $1.00 stamp has grown into an obsession! I absolutely love history, so anything to commemorate it is fine by me! Thanks for stopping by!

Let's Make Some Cards!!!

Operation Write Home (http://www.operationwritehome.org) is a non-profit organization that was created to help our heroes to keep in contact with their loved ones back home. Crafters from all around the world can donate their hand-made cards to a shipper who will then send them off to our heroes. Crafters can be from any age group, any style of creativity, and anywhere around the world.

Please join us for a cardmaking party!

When: Wednesday, April 21, 2010
Where: South Charleston Rec Center (South Charleston, WV)
What time: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

In addition to making wonderful cards for our soldiers, my new friend Cheyanne Hively will be there with Close to my Heart products. Any purchases from CTMH will also help towards a donation to Operation Smile (www.operationsmile.org). You do not have to buy anything, but please come out and make one or two cards with us to help support our troops! Free drinks and snacks will be provided.

Please RSVP me by April 9 so that all the materials will be ready for everyone! We hope to see you there!

My Darling

A few days ago I went to Big Lots to browse around. I found some really cute chipboard pieces and ribbon so I wanted to make a quick card. I used plain white cardstock as the base and put two strips of brown cardstock on both the top and bottom. The center piece is from the Sizzix, Little Sizzles Pastel paper pack. The chipboard is from Heidi Grace, Chipboard Titles in Love. The ribbon is from Bobbin Ribbon. I used black Archival Ink to stamp the bee, which is Bee Secret from Stampendous, and used dimensionals to pop him out. I also added a little bling with Bitty Sparkles from CTMH (#Z1263).

I Miss You This Much

In addition to the Ewe cards I made for Operation Write Home, I also made these cards. Again, I wanted to keep things very simple. I started off with a little sample card and then colored in the bigger ones. I used Marvy LePlume II markers in Yellow (for the hair), Leaf Green (for the grass), Ochre (for her shoes), Amethyst (for the accent pieces), and Wisteria (for her sleeves and socks). The quote was made in Word and the font is Army.

Cookie!

We had a chili luncheon one day at work and one of my coworkers brought in these adorable cupcakes. I couldn't eat one because they were so cute!
