For Thanksgiving this year, my family is coming to my house to celebrate. Not only am I going to cook, but I decided to make a gift for each of my family members and give it to them. I am making a surprise box that will hold their item inside of it. I am using:
12" x 12" Pebbles, Inc. Cardstock in Wedding Dress
(preferably use double-sided cardstock)
Fiskars Cutter
Martha Stewart Score Board
Tape Gun
Silver Christmas Bows
To begin, cut your cardstock to 7 1/2" x 10". Save the leftover pieces because you will reuse them.
On the 7 1/2" side, score at 2 1/2" and 5".
On the 10" side, score at 1 1/4", 2", 3 3/4", 6 1/4", 8" and 8 3/4".
With the paper on the 10" side, cut at the 2" line up to the 2 1/2" line.
From the 2" and 2 1/2" line, cut back to the 1 1/4" line.
To make folding easier, cut a small triangle from the edge.
Next, from the 2" ad 2 1/2" line, cut towards the 3 3/4" line.
From the 6 1/4" and 2 1/2" line, cut towards the 8" line.
From the 8" and 2 1/2" line, cut towards the 8 3/4" line.
To make folding easier, cut a small triangle from the edge.
Turn your paper upside down, still on the 10" side, and do the same for the other side.
Fold at all your score lines.
On the center, top pieces, use your tape gun to add adhesive to the edge of the paper.
Line up your pieces to form a box.
On the smaller pieces where you cut a triangle out, use your tape gun to add adhesive to the edges.
Line up your pieces to form one lid side.
Repeat for the other side.
For the ribbon slider, take the long pieces of leftovers and cut off 1". It should be 2" x 11".
On the 11" side, score at 1 3/4", 4 1/4", 6 7/8" and 9 3/8".
Add adhesive to the edge and slide over your box.
Hi Stampers! A few years ago I started off with a blogspot that was about my life and everything I had gone through. Since I stopped writing in a journal, I decided to change everything around a bit. I didn't have a lot of entries, so I started to blog about my craft projects. This blog is where I will upload all of my art, projects and photographs.
A few years ago, I started scrapbooking with my sister. What started off from a $1.00 stamp has grown into an obsession! I absolutely love history, so anything to commemorate it is fine by me! Thanks for stopping by!
