Hi Stampers! A few years ago I started off with a blogspot that was about my life and everything I had gone through. Since I stopped writing in a journal, I decided to change everything around a bit. I didn't have a lot of entries, so I started to blog about my craft projects. This blog is where I will upload all of my art, projects and photographs.
A few years ago, I started scrapbooking with my sister. What started off from a $1.00 stamp has grown into an obsession! I absolutely love history, so anything to commemorate it is fine by me! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Mr. Deer!
Our house sits right outside the city limits, so it is kind of weird sometimes to see so many deer walking around. But, we are also surrounded by nothing but woods. It's an everyday occurence to see 6-7, sometimes 12-13 deer walking around the neighborhood. And they don't care either.

My Kids (Linx)
My second little furball is Linx. Matt and I were at a friend's house and Matt was sitting on the front porch drinking a beer. Linx came walking up to him and drank from his beer can. Now, Matt (at the time) was far from a cat person, but he actually asked if we could keep him. I, of course, said yes. We got the name Linx because Matt is an IT Instructor/PC Repairman.

My Kids (Harley)
I know, shame on me! One of the first posts I should have made was of my kids! My first baby is Harley. I got him in May 2001. My best friend and I were going to pick him up in St. Albans and was talking about Harley Davidsons on our way there. When the woman asked what I was going to name, the first thing that came to mind was Harley. I actually got him the same year that Matt and I met, so we call him our Anniversary Kitty.

Hi Boobie!
What's your fav car?
I'm sure most of you have received that lengthly email asking questions about yourself. What color are your eyes? Where is your fav vacation spot? What's the first vehicle you have ever had? I was going through my MySpace account deleting stuff and came across Butter Bean. For some of you who know me, in 2006 I bought a 2000 VW Beetle. A bright yellow Beetle. I loved that car! My license plate read JUNEBUGG.

July 26, 2006 to May 19, 2007
She wasn't the first car I owned, but I loved that car. The first car I owned was actually my boyfriends. He had a white Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, which was the exact same vehicle that I had planned on purchasing once I had enough money. We still have the Jeep.

Are you hungry?
I don't remember when I took this photo, but I was over my Mom's house and she was making fried rice. I got the camera out and took a few photos. And yes, that is a small tomato flower.

Can I borrow your pen?
For a brief while, Cathy (my sis) got me into collecting fountain pens. I always had an interest in them, but never did collect any. I was always fond of Parker because I remember being a little girl and Mom using an old Parker ballpoint pen when we went to church. Here are a few of my favorites that I've acquired.

Good News!
I love him. Only the hard drive died on this laptop, so Matthew was able to fix my computer by putting in an older hard drive and everything works! I'm glad I backed up all of my stuff, but I lost a lot of my IE scrapbook favorites. Bummer.
On a side note, we are ordering some tires (for both my car and his) tonight and we found a pump for the Jeep. Hooray! It is a glorious day at the Nut House.

What a week I'm having! Part Two
In addition to my laptop crisis, all the snow that is falling and my G6 tires going bald, the Jeep decided to temporarily retire itself and make the steering pump go out. Again, in the words of Charlie Brown, "ARGH!"
What a week I'm having! Part One
I guess my problem started in 2007, when I decided to purchase a new laptop to use for school. From Newegg (which is a very reputable website that we frequently purchase from) I got an Acer Aspire 5100-3577 laptop. It had a 2 GHz AMD Turion 64 processer, a 15.4” wide screen, 512MB DDR2 of memory, a 120GB hard drive, an ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 IGP chipset, Windows Vista, built-in WAN, 3 USB ports, microphone, speakers, a card reader, etc. It also had a one year limited manufacturer warranty on parts and labor. A few months later, I bought more memory to support Windows Vista and a cheapo laptop cooler.
Everything was fine. Until one year and a few weeks later….
I had taken my laptop to work one day and was doing my usual thing of either school work or family history research at lunch. I shut it down as I normally do, and when I got home and started it up again, it wouldn’t boot. I relayed this information to my techie boyfriend, who said as nicely as he possible could, that my laptop “Died.” In the words of Charlie Brown…."ARGH!"
He salvaged what information he could and I called Acer to see if they could fix it. I was informed that the motherboard was the problem and that it would take $400 to fix it. That was half the cost of the laptop itself! Uh, no thanks. We looked on Ebay for a few days and followed a few good bids. We finally found another Acer Aspire 5100, but this model was a 5674; so it had a video camera. UPGRADE! I bought it with the intentions that if something should break on it, we could just use the older laptop and everything would work fine.
Until one year and six months later….
I was using my laptop as I normally do and went to shut it down before going to bed. I didn’t use it all day yesterday until I went to boot it up last night. Dead. I asked Matt to look at it. Dead. He couldn’t even salvage the hard drive, so hopefully it is just the hard drive this time and not the motherboard. On the good side, if he can’t get it to work, I’ll have target practice!

Cold Nose, Warm Heart
I attended a CTMH Workshop (February 2010) and we made this Memory Keeper Box (Z1116). We used two different alphabet stamps: Friendship Large (E1016) and Friendship Small (C1401). We also used Dimensional Element Hearts (Z1278), Bitty Sparkles (Z1263), Chocolate Ink Pad, Baby Pink Ink Pad and sponge daubers. The paper is Chocolate cardstock and B&T Duos from the Topstitch paper packet. The snowman on the top is from the All Decked Out stamp set (D1308). When I got home, I added the row of snowmen and the single snowman on the sides from the Snow Friends stamp set (D1244). The hot cocoa and marshmallows were included with the box.

Just Hangin' Around
I got this little stamp from Michael's $1.00 bin. It is the Studio G Estampes Kidz Stamp Monkey. I used regular color pencils to color him in and then used a blending stump to smooth him out. The sentiment is from Stampendous' Changito the Monkey stamp set and the leaves are from Stampology's Mindy's Zoo.

Thank Ewe Very Much
I made this card for Operation Write Home. I decided to look up some free digi stamps and found this. So cute! I used paper from a K&Company paper stack from Joann's and regular kraft cardstock from HL. I used my Tombow Gel Pen for the faux stitching.

Happy V-Day
I made these two cards for Valentine's Day. I used a $1 stamp from Michael's with CTMHs White Pigment Ink for the background. The white faux stitching was done with my Tombow Gel Pen and a red ribbon finished everything off.

Get Well/Thank You
Operation Write Home posted a message on their website about a girl who was suffering from Severe Intractable Epilepsy (Amber Dougherty). It said that she loved to receive mail, so I made a card for her and for her two sisters. I used a yellow colored google eye for the Get Well card and a blue and pink one for the Thank You cards. I added a small purple ribbon to finish everything off. I used Recollections My Little Monsters and CTMHs Playful Caps (D1013).

Happy Birthday, Robot
I had bought the cute little Robot stamp from M's (Recollection Robots) and was dying to do some cards with him. I needed to make yearly birthday cards for 2010, so I had the help of a friend and her Pazzles to cut out the gears for me. Again, I used a metallic paper pack (also from M's) for the gears. Using an inkjet printer, I added the sentiment "Wishing you another wonderful year of happiness and joy" in the font LCD Phone from DaFont.com

Thank You, Robot
I made this simple card for Matt's boss.

Then I added a white ribbon and a dimensional robot for a little kick.

And Smiled
My sister bought me the adorable Stampendous Chick Family clear stamps for Christmas 2009. I had to make something with it, so I created this card. The sentiment is from a $1 stamp from Michael's or Joann's and the buttons came from a huge bag I had bought, also from Joann's.

Spring is in the Air
I went to an All-Day Crop in January 2010 and this is one of the LO I created with CTMH products. It is from the Caboodle Workshop on the Go collection.

Harley
I had a CTMH party in 2009 and we made this simple LO. The big yellow area is where a picture can go and the small area is where a smaller picture or maybe a sentiment may go. Harley is my black cat.

Everyday Celebration
These cards were made from a CTMH card kit that I received as a Door Prize at a local Craft Show. I decided to use the kit as cards to send to Operation Write Home. The kit included enough materials to make 16 cards in 8 different designs: 12"x12" B&T Duo Paper, 12"x12" White Cardstock and Dutch Blue Cardstock, Colonial White Cards and Envelopes, My Acrylix Everyday Celebration Stamp Set, Mini-Medley Accents Shades of Chocolate Collection, Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon with Colonial White Stitch, Chocolate Distressing Ink, Dutch Blue Distressing Ink, 3D Foam Squares, Sponge and Instruction Booklet.

Love Times Three
I made these quick Love/Valentine's Day cards for Operation Write Home. the pink cardstock was left over scraps and the Love stamps I got in the $1 bin at Joann's.

Thank You
The background is from the DCWV Paper Packs Sweet Pack. The ribbon is from the $1 bin at Michael's.

Altered ATG Gun
I've seen yours, now here is mine! My altered ATG gun. I bought this gun earlier in 2009 and it was red. I painted it orange (my fav color) and added the BLING to it. The other day I was at Big Lots and saw the Heidi Swapp Rub-ons for $1.00. The back is plain for now.
